We just got back from the appointments in Cincinnati for Mercy... anyone want to hear what happened?!
- Her heart is "FANTASTIC". That is a direct quote. She is off the lasix, and doesn't have to go back for 6 months.
- Her eye has worsened, but we will be getting a new lense in her glasses this week. She also needs to go back to patching her eye. This time this is harder as she knows more, and is less happy with me each day when I do it.
- We have a surgery date!!! May 27 we will be "de-bulking" the hemangioma and doing a laser surgery while she is sedated already. She will be in the hospital overnight, then released the next morning. There will be another surgery to "even out the skin tone" in the fall.
I am really ready to have this hemangioma, but am a little nervous about the surgery. I hate the thought of my little one hurting, even if I know she will do fine. But in general I am so very hopeful... not only does the tunnel have some light at the end of it, we are able to see the blue sky also!

My Red Wall... A Work in Progress
For anyone who has followed the progress of our main rooms remodel... (here)... you will wonder what I have done with my red wall. Yeah. I'm sure you've been losing sleep wondering what I have done with my red wall.
So here is what we are doing. Please ignore the fact that 9 is a bit crooked. I fixed it, but lost the light and couldn't get a good photo after that. And 10 and 11 are a bit off... I'll have to fix that too. It's a lot harder to do than you would think. Or at least than I thought. You don't want to see the number of holes I put behind 7. Then I got smart and cut out pieces of paper with the brackets marked, taped them on, and then drove the holes through the paper. It worked great except for with 10 and 11.
Obviously the frames will be filled with photos, but I have to select which ones I want to put in, then have them printed. I was not sure if the wall was big enough for 8x10's and 5x7's, but it was.
There are two schools of thought... some like the idea of one frame per person (since we have 12 people.) Others like the idea of putting photos in which show more than one person, but all 12 of us get shown over all. Which do you think would be best? And while we are at it, any votes for what photos to put in?

Gardening 2010
We've been busy working in the garden this spring. We have added two additional planting boxes. We planted the peas, spinach, radishes, and lettuce.

We have dug out 60 feet of a space to hold 120 blackberry plants.

And the Peach and Nectarine trees are in full, beautiful bloom.

I love the promise of spring.
