I have been accused of neglecting to post enough photos of the baby. In part there is a reason for this... he still sleeps a lot and is only now getting slightly more interesting. He is a really good baby, and this past week certainly won bonus cute points with his Oma and Papa Pete.
Sam is now 7 weeks old. He is starting to be awake more, and starting to look around and wave his hands. This week he noticed the ceiling fan, too.
I love this picture of Beth and Oma.

Fall Foliage
Today I went outside and took the opportunity of an almost 80* day to take some photos. It was so windy, it may have been the last day for these pretty leaves. They have been blowing down all day. I got lots of pictures of some of the children, and am working on getting them ready to post later in the week. Keep checking back!
This is one of my favorite shots... I liked how the brown contrasted with the green.
I like this one too. Again, I like the color contrast, and the shadows of the edge of the leaf.
Our hill turning colors... It truly is beautiful here in Kentucky.
Eunice, you know you want to move here...
Can you see the bee on the bottom right flower?
Sara is one of my best models.. she loves to have me take her photo. See her in the tree?

A Moment in Time
The theme of the week at I ♥ Faces is costumes... here is one of my favorite costume photos. I love the phase Emma was in at that time. The phase when donning a princess dress makes you a princess. When they wear the costumes All Day Every Day. Everywhere... even church and the grocery store.
And without the camera catching this moment in time I would have forgotten all about it. That, to me, is what photography is all about. Capturing a snippet and keeping it forever. So when our little ones are grown and parents themselves we can look and remember that one time they were little girls in princess dresses and mud boots, brushing the horse with a hairbrush.
Head over to I ♥ Faces and take a look at the other entries!
