13 / 365

When Eric is not available, a big brother will do... sorry for the low quality of the photos... I cannot wait for next winter... inside photos in our new house with lots of windows will be great!

Anna brought a laundry basket to me and had a very perplexed look on her face... wondering what I had done to the basket.

Then Sam popped out, thinking he was SOOO funny!

For those who are keeping track, there will be no 14 / 365 for the Petersonclan... we are experiencing fallout from Eric and I being gone for 4 days... the kids are fussy and grumpy and it is wearing off on me too. ;) More photos to come, I just didn't take any on the 14th of Jan.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for cute mud boots. I love them. I especially love that they are hard to lose. My children go everywhere in them in the winter. These are a mere 1/2 of the family's mud boots... aren't they adorable?!

9 / 365 - The Thistletop Inn

Last weekend Eric and I got the chance to get away for the weekend. We were celebrating our 15th anniversary.

The Thistletop Inn is located an easy 15 minutes drive from downtown Nashville. It was beautiful.
I would describe the decor as rustic southwest...

There was this really neat stairwell... the stairs were from a London Subway station! I thought they were amazing, although the picture really does not do justice to them.

I also thought this sink was cool... the base of it was a piece of slate!

This is a photo of the downstairs. There was a four sided opening. The first night we were there we visited with the owners and other guests in front of the fire.

Here is another spiral staircase. The architecture of the building was so interesting!

This sign on the bathroom shows the quirky humor of the owners... we so enjoyed getting to know them! Truly we arrived as strangers and left as friends.

They have a meeting room which was rented out one afternoon, and they provided a lunch for it. They also made a lunch for us to take along on our travels.

I enjoyed sitting in the kitchen and watching others work. ;)

Get a load of this chandelier... isn't it wonderful?

We woke up to snow the last day we were there. (I know the white balance is off here... sorry.)

All in all we had a delightful time at the Thistletop Inn. Service was wonderful, the beds and linens were soft, and the accomodations delightful. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a special place to get away in the Nashville area.

I know, I know...

To all who are thinking I am falling woefully behind on my Project 365... I have the photos... just not posted yet. I am sure those of you who have been with me for years are not in the least surprised. ;)

This past weekend Eric and I celebrated our anniversary and went away for 4 days. Yes, I have photographic evidence. We got back at about 12:15 yesterday morning and I have been trying to get laundry and school caught up ever since.

I am hopeful that over the weekend I will have lots of time to catch up on my posts for the past 10 days... right now, though, I have 6 loads of laundry to fold so it can be put away before breakfast in the morning. Add that to the 8 loads of laundry I did yesterday, and it is finally caught back up. That is encouraging. The discouraging thing? They wear an entire load on their backs every day. But I am so very thankful for the fact that we have clothes in abundance. It is very, very cold out there.
