For this month's blog circle, they asked us to share photos in the theme of Happiness... and that is so easy for me! For photography in general makes me incredibly happy. Whether "shooting" my own family, or my friends and clients... it makes me happy to create a memory for others. For a small moment in time, people can see what I see through my lens. The beauty of creation... and beauty inside each person.
So these are my favorite photos of March. Each expressing a different kind of beauty.

The Way I View | Sweetness and Love
Once again, a whole month has gone by with practically not even a thought toward my poor, neglected blog. Besides the normal busy-ness of parenting 10 kids, homeschooling, and building a house, I have been working hard at getting my fledgling photography business up and going. I am proud to say that Sunlit Moments is officially ready and open for business. You can check out the website here. And if you are local- be sure to book your sessions now. My schedule fills up quickly, but I would love to work you and your loved ones in, and get you some wonderful family memories.
This month's theme for my monthly blog network is Sweetness and Love. By far, the best thing I did this month is give in to Sara's pleading to do a "Storybook Session" with her. She dressed in her Princess Dress that her Grandmother and Great Aunt had made for her birthday, and we spent the best 45 minutes of my month. Ever since she has been born Sara has been our Sweetness and Sunshine... so here's a quick share from our time together. I plan on writing a story around her photos, and printing a book. She is looking forward to it.

New Beginnings: Hemangioma free!
I am trying to participate in a photo challenge each month... and this month was New Beginnings. What New Beginnings could I photograph? Then the perfect idea came to my head.
Mercy has now been on Propranalol for almost 3 years. She has had two surgeries. But now... now she is DONE! She is free of all medical issues. Well, we still need to worry about her eyes, and she wears glasses, but for all intents and purposes, we are free of all medical needs. :) Can I tell you how thrilled I am?
Let's review how she looked before:
Now do you want to see how she looks now?
Isn't it wonderful? I am so happy to be posting this update... we are HEMANGIOMA FREE!!!
(Head to my friend Joyce to see her New Beginning!)

Let them be kids
When I saw this week's theme of "Let Them be Little" on Iheartfaces I just HAD to dust off this blog and post one of my all time favorite photos.
Three year olds and their clothes are some of my favorite things. This photo with Emma and her mud boots, in a ballerina dress, hair tie with a ribbon on it around her wrist as a bracelet, and a bike helmet that she had decorated with markers... brushing a horse with her sister's hairbrush. Can anything speak THREE YEARS OLD more strongly than that?
This photo is actually one of the ones that made me desire to learn to take great photos to preserve my children in all their wonderfulness. Emma wouldn't be caught dead going out of the house in this outfit today... I am so glad that I have this memory forever.
Head on over to I Heart Faces to see other photos entered in the "Let them be little".
