Monday Mercy Update

Well, insurance has struck again. By just doing nothing, we are unable to have the approval today, which makes us unable to go tomorrow. By them not making a decision, that pushes us back to Wednesday through Friday inpatient at the earliest, which cannot work because the doctor is out of the office on Friday and the weekend this week.

So we are now into next week at the earliest. With Eric's work schedule we are tentatively scheduling the start of the propranalol to be on Thursday, March 5.

I cannot express how frustrated we are with this whole thing. We have been fighting for almost 2 weeks to do this, and they are just stalling. Tomorrow we will call the state's insurance commissioner and see if they can advocate for Mercy.

Please continue to pray for us, that we can get them to agree to cover this, and that we can continue to be an example of Godliness on the way.

  1. Dear Carri,
I can only imagine the disappointment. I'm really sorry it didn't work out to get there when you had hoped.
We will keep miss Mercy in our prayers and ask the Lord to soften the hearts of the powers that be in the realm of insurance coverage.

Perhaps this would be a good time to get a package of Oreos and some butter knives and
    milk? ;-P

Lots and lots of love to you,

  2. You are in our prayers as always. Mercy has quite a fan here at my house. Billy (aged 2 1/2) saw her button on my blog and said "Oh what a beautiful baby, I'd like to play with her. She's a beautiful girl!!" So if you are ever in Tasmania..... I pray there is an insurance resolution soon!

  3. Dear Carri,
I linked to your blog when I was reading about Noah Estes. I also have a child with a lot of need for prayer and a friend directed me to the Estes' blog. I am very sorry to hear about the insurance troubles. I know it is so frustrating to seek help for your precious baby and find that you're having trouble receiving it. Please know that our family will pray for Mercy daily.

"I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou has known my soul in adversities; and hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou has set my feet in a large room." Psalm 31:7-8

  4. Yes, yes! I will pray for the clouds to part, but also for you to be an example of godliness. Don't lose you cool my friend. God is ever watching over this whole mess! Lisa~
