Around the Farm

We have been working hard in our garden, but things are progressing on the rest of the farm too...

Namely with our 21 new chicks. They are really cute. Here are some of the photos of them.

Josiah is in love with these "naked neck" chickens. He thinks they are the cutest things he's ever seen. I think they are rather ugly. But I'll love the eggs next year. ;)

One is named Vladimir. The other is Poof-in. Get it?

Here are some ADORABLE Mercy photos. She is really so cute. The medication for her hemangioma has helped her heart so much that she is obviously feeling much better. She has a lot more energy and is growing fast.

Doesn't she look just like Boo from Monster's Inc.?

Here we told her to show us her hemangioma... she really has no clue where it is no matter how many times we tell her! Haha.

Look how light it's getting!

That's all for this weekend on the farm. Have a great weekend!

  1. Our chicks come in next week. It is so great for the kids to care for them and watch them grow into real, egg laying chickens. Lisa~

  4. I go back on April 14th... wanna meet me there? It's been forever since we have seen each other. But I couldn't do an overnight that time... there are other days we go up where we could stay overnight if you want to meet up.

  5. I am so envious to see you out in the garden and the chicks and all. We have another month before anything like that gets going here. Mercy is just the cutest bug :) And wow those meds are really doing a great thing for her!!

  7. Wow! Mercy looks great! You must be so excited and relieved. We have put Madelyn's tx on hold for a while. They discovered she has a blood vessel in the superficial layer that is feeding her PWS and the laser just can't get ahead of the high blood flow. They would like to try sclerotherapy to shut that down but it is currently too small to safely get a needle into. We will do another MRI in a couple years and see if it has grown enough. In the meantime we are out of money and she is completely out of patience. She had a panic attack when I woke her up early a couple weeks ago. She thought I was getting her up to go to the airport and it has been 6 mo since her last tx.

    Congratulations on # 10!!!!

We're still hoping to get to a place soon that will allow us a chance to get up your way again. Can you believe we have had 5 (going on 6) children between us since the last time we saw each other.
