24 / 365 - Death of a Keyboard

Despite his best attempts..

my computer may have been irrevocably damaged.

I have 8 letters completely broken. I have to really want to shift or it doesn't work.

The cursor disappears at random times, which makes life a bit difficult.

Two unmonitored moments and the baby wreaked serious havoc... wonder how long it will take me to save up for a new one.
Wonder how I could get dell to just give me a new one... lol. That might be faster.

  1. Hey Carrie,

I had to get a replacement dvd-rom for my laptop a few months back and found a good online source that sales refurbished parts, much cheaper than buying new from dell. Their customer service was excellent too. The first one they sent burned really slow, so they sent another with return envelope at their own expense, and did so quickly. Looked up your keyboard. Find it at http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=category&id=140&subid=117&refine=keyboard

    Maybe this will help.

  3. Good luck with that! I had two keys randomly fall out of my keyboard recently and Dell told me that they can't re-attach one key- they have to replace the whole keyboard. I agree- look online for a replacement first!
